What is mSpy?

mSpy is an undetectable software application for smartphones and tablets that discreetly keeps tabs on text messages, call history, calendar information; records phone surroundings; track IM chats, determines GPS coordinates of the phone, etc.

mSpy is designed for monitoring your employees or underage children on a smartphone or tablet that you own or have proper consent to monitor. You are required to notify users of the device that they are being monitored.

How does mSpy work?

The application needs to be installed on the device you wish to monitor.

In order to install mSpy, you need 5-10 minutes of unrestricted physical access to the target device (you need to have it in your hands). As soon as you install mSpy, you will not need to access the target device again and will be able to check the data captured by mSpy remotely from your personal account.

mSpy works in stealth mode and doesn’t generate any pop-ups, sounds or notifications. There is no need to manually request the update of information - everything is transferred automatically. mSpy uses Internet connection to transfer the information to your account.

Does mSpy work worldwide, with any mobile network carrier?

Our tracking software works regardless of the cellular carrier network or the location of the target device. It only requires Internet connection to transfer data to your personal account. For you, it means that mSpy can be used in the four corners of the earth.

What devices are supported by mSpy?

mSpy is compatible with smartphones and tablets that run:

  • Android 2.2+
  • iOS 5.1.1 – 7.0.6
  • BlackBerry (lower than 10 series)

Is the application invisible?

mSpy works in stealth mode. It does not display any icons and appears on the device application database under different names (system processes), which leaves virtually no chance for the user to identify this software. Moreover, there are neither logs stored on the target device nor pop-up messages ever showing up on the main screen.

Is it legal to use mSpy?

It is absolutely legal to use mSpy:

  1. As a parental control solution for monitoring your underage children.
  2. As an employee tracking solution for monitoring company-owned devices. Please note that by informing staff before installing mSpy on their devices, and by having them accept this as part of using the company-owned devices you will ensure that the company will not run into any legal problems.

However, we are not entitled to give substantiated legal advice concerning the peculiarities of local laws.

In most cases, it is the federal and/or state violation of the law to install surveillance software onto a mobile phone or other device for which you do not have proper authorization. You are required to notify users of the device that they are being monitored. Failure to do so is considered to be your own responsibility and the installation is undertaken at your own risk.

Do I need physical access to the target device to install mSpy?

Yes, you will need only 5-10 minutes of physical access to the target phone during mSpy installation. Once installed, mSpy will start sending logs to your personal account at http://mspyonline.com.

How to install mSpy?

The mSpy installation is fast and easy even for IT newbies. You can install the app as soon as your payment gets processed and you log into your mSpy account using login details from the confirmation email. Can I uninstall mSpy?

mSpy can be uninstalled from your target device in a hassle-free way. You can find the information on uninstallation process in the Help section of your account. If you are a Premium user, contact our Live Support, and Customer Care specialists will smoothly guide you through the uninstallation process.

Where can I check the captured data?

Once mSpy becomes authorized on the target device and connected to our server, the information will be automatically uploaded to the Control Panel of your personal account. Check how mSpy Control Panel looks by pressing View Demo.

What happens after the purchase?

As soon as your payment gets processed, please check your mailbox. Make sure you check both Inbox and Spam folders because sometimes automatically generated emails can be mistakenly classified as spam. You will receive two emails: one comes from the billing company, confirming your payment, and the other is the welcoming mSpy email. The latter contains the link to your personal online Control Panel (data storage) and your login credentials. Simply follow the link and log in to your account.

Once you’re in, you’ll see the Wizard that will guide you through the installation procedure.

How can I get a refund if I’m not happy with mSpy?

If you are not fully satisfied with your purchase of mSpy software, you may be eligible for a full refund within 10 days following your purchase according to the mSpy Refund Policy conditions. However, refunds can be avoided if you request professional help from our Customer Support.

How often does mSpy update info?

mSpy sends information to your account every Update Interval. The Update Interval specifies how often mSpy gets connected to our server and transfers information to your Control Panel. When manually adjusting Update Interval from your account, please note that short update intervals (less than 10 min) might eat up too much battery life.

Why does the target device require Internet connection?

The target device must be Internet-enabled for mSpy to send the tracked information from the monitored device to your Control Panel. It uses both Wi-Fi and 3G/4G Internet connections. Once the information is uploaded to our server, it will be displayed in the Control Panel of your account. The target device doesn’t necessarily need 24/7 Internet access as the data gets transferred once in every update interval specified by you in the settings of your Control Panel.

Can I track two or more devices?

With one Basic or Premium mSpy subscription, you can track one target device only. However, you can change the target device as many times as you want without any additional fees. To be able to track up to four devices, purchase a separate mSpy subscription for each device. Need to track more devices? Select Business subscription (5 devices under one account) and save up to 70%!

My target device is an iPhone. Do I really need to jailbreak it to be able to install mSpy? What if it’s already jailbroken, how can I tell?

The iOS device needs to be jailbroken in order for mSpy to be installed. Once the device is jailbroken the Cydia icon will appear on the Springboard.

Does jailbreak void warranty? Can I unjailbreak the target iDevice to restore warranty?

Jailbreak voids the warranty of the target iDevice. At the same time, the only possibility to install mSpy on the target iPhone/iPad is to perform jailbreak.

To restore the warranty, update your target device to the latest version.

Will jailbreak be visible after the connection with iTunes, iCloud?

Nothing will be displayed on iTunes or iCloud while the jailbroken device is connected. The target user will be able to download media and applications from iTunes and use iCloud in regular mode, hassle-free.

What is rooting? Do I need to root Android device to use mSpy?

Rooting is the process of allowing users of smartphones and tablets running the Android operating system to attain privileged control (known as root access) within Android's subsystem.

Rooting is required only if you need to track the non-default applications such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Viber, Skype, and Gmail (available only to Premium account holders).

Does Android rooting void warranty?

It depends on the target Android device and the rooting method. Some manufacturers of Android devices may try to refuse you warranty service if you have a rooted device. However, you can unroot the device to restore the warranty.

How can I detect spy software on my smartphone?

We do not provide services on the detection of spyware products on mobile devices.

Can you help me track the phone by its number?

We do not provide tracking-by-phone-number services. Our application needs to be installed directly onto the device. In order to track a particular smartphone, please make sure that it is compatible with mSpy and subscribe to our services.

I lost my mobile device. What should I do? Can mSpy help me find it?

Yes, you can find your target device using our app. However, mSpy needs to be installed on the device before the incident and the Internet connection must be active.

What if I need technical support?

Do you have a desktop version of mSpy?

We are happy to announce that the mSpy Desktop application is on its final stage of development. It will let you track basic computer activities and view screenshots. All the fetched data will be sent to your mSpy Control Panel. More information about this product will be available soon with its official release.
